kid waitlist — privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-05
Who we are. The kid waitlist is run by Paco Dario Lopez, the Netherlands. Questions or requests: privacy@getkid.app.
What we collect.
- The name you give us (your friends see it) and your email address.
- Your group's name, the name your group gives its kid (if any), and which groups you're in.
- That you confirmed you're 16 or older.
- Proof of your consent: when you agreed, which version of the text you agreed to, and the IP address you used.
- Which link brought you here (for example our Instagram), so we know which channels work.
- The country you were in when you signed up (worked out from your connection, not your exact location), to see where kid is popular.
- Whether you confirmed your email and whether you unsubscribed.
Why, and on what basis.
- To run the waitlist and email you about kid's launch and your group's place in line. Basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us.
- To prove you gave consent and to stop abuse (fake sign-ups, spam). Basis: our legitimate interest in a waitlist that works and follows the law.
Who can see your data.
- People in your group see your name. Anyone with your group's link sees the group name, the kid's name and how many parents have joined. There is no public list of groups or names.
- Cloudflare hosts the page and stores the database. The database is stored in the EU. Cloudflare is a US company; where data passes through its network outside the EU, this is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Brevo (France) sends our emails, from servers in the EU.
- We never sell your data and we don't use it for ads.
How long we keep it.
- Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — then it's deleted, including your consent proof.
- At the latest 6 months after kid launches, the whole waitlist is deleted.
- IP addresses used only to limit abuse are deleted after 24 hours.
Cookies. The waitlist uses no cookies and no tracking.
Age. The waitlist is for people aged 16 and older.
Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, get a copy of it, object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent. Email privacy@getkid.app; we answer within one month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your country.
Changes. If this policy changes, we update the date above, and we email you if the change matters to you.
